SYS Electromac exports table, pedestal, wall and ventilation fans from its plant at IDA Bollaram, Hyderabad, to brands, importers and distributors in Nepal, Sri Lanka, the Middle East, Africa and Europe. Every fan is built under the buyer’s brand and to the buyer’s market — plug, label language, packing and documents — on the same three conveyorized lines that produce 150,000 fans a month for Indian brands.
Our export range is built for 220–240 V, 50 Hz supply. That covers South Asia, most of the Gulf, most of Africa and all of Europe, and it is the same supply our Indian production runs on, so an export fan is the fan we already make and test every day.
Markets we supply
| Market | What matters most | Page |
|---|---|---|
| Nepal | Same 230 V / 50 Hz and round-pin plugs as India; served by road, so smaller and more frequent lots work | Fans for Nepal |
| Sri Lanka | Humid-climate air delivery; SLSI import inspection; two containers already shipped | Fans for Sri Lanka |
| UAE and the Gulf | 230 V / 50 Hz in the UAE, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain; long running hours in extreme heat; BS 1363 plugs | Fans for the Middle East |
| Africa | Voltage that sags below nominal; pre-shipment verification; long sea routes | Fans for Africa |
| Europe and the UK | CE or UKCA conformity, ecodesign information requirements, Europlug or BS 1363, labels in the local language | Fans for Europe |
Why source fans from India
India builds for heat and humidity as its home market. A fan specified for a temperate market is under-specified for a humid one: as humidity rises, evaporation from the skin slows and air velocity is the only lever left. Indian fans are designed around that from the start, which is why we argue India, not China, is the natural reference market for tropical Asia, the Gulf and Africa. The Sri Lanka export case study sets out the argument in full.
For Europe the argument is different: a second source outside China, a manufacturer that publishes air delivery, power and service value for every motor option, and minimum orders small enough to test a model before committing a container.
Orders can start small. The minimum is 500 pieces per model, and a container can carry several models.
What we change for each market
| Item | How it is handled |
|---|---|
| Supply | 220–240 V, 50 Hz. This is our standard motor platform; no motor change is needed for any market on this page. |
| Plug and cord | Fitted to the destination: Indian round-pin, British three-pin (BS 1363), the two-pin Europlug (CEE 7/16) or as specified. |
| Branding, labels and manuals | Your brand, your artwork, in the languages your market requires. |
| Certification and inspection | Tell us your market’s conformity scheme. We supply the test reports and production records your certifying body or inspection agency asks for; four pre-dispatch inspection cabins are available to your inspector at the plant. |
| Packing | Mono-carton, multi-unit, SKD or CKD, palletised and container-ready. |
| Terms | FOB or CIF. |
| Motor winding | Copper or aluminium, to your specification. |
How an export order runs
- RFQ. Model, quantity, market, plug, packing and target date.
- Sample. Available for a small fee, with a 7-day lead time on existing models.
- Market specification sign-off. Labels, cord, packing and documents agreed in writing.
- N-10 pilot batch for your approval before mass production.
- Production. Three weeks on existing models. New designs take about 30 days for development and prototyping and 60–90 days for tooling.
- Pre-dispatch inspection by you or your agent, in our PDI cabins. 100% of motors and 100% of finished fans are already tested in built-in STR cabins on the line.
- Loading and dispatch, FOB or CIF.
See the plant before you order
Most export relationships start with a visit or a video call from the shop floor. Our factory tour walks through the plant from incoming inspection to the warehouse, and the gallery has photographs of each process. Buyers are welcome at the plant in person; visits are arranged on request.
Export questions
What is the minimum export order?
500 pieces per model. A container can carry several models, which lets an importer cover table, pedestal and wall fans from one shipment.
Which voltages and frequencies do you supply?
220–240 V at 50 Hz. Our export range is not offered for 60 Hz markets.
Do you ship FOB or CIF?
Both.
Can you supply under our own brand?
Yes. Export supply is OEM and private label: your brand, your packaging and, if you want it, your own exclusive design. See private-label fans and contract manufacturing.
Do you supply ceiling fans?
We specialise in table, pedestal, wall and ventilation fans, which we manufacture in-house — see what a TPW fan is and why that range is built separately from ceiling fans. We do not manufacture ceiling fans ourselves. We work with reputed ceiling fan manufacturers, and you can choose how to buy them:
- Through SYS: ceiling fans on our purchase order and invoice, alongside your table, pedestal, wall and ventilation fans — one supplier, one invoice for the whole range.
- Direct: we introduce you to the manufacturer and you contract with them yourself.
Ceiling fans are made and certified by the partner manufacturer under their own licence. Tell us in the RFQ which route you prefer.
How fast can an export order ship?
Three weeks on existing models once the market specification is signed off. Our first Sri Lankan order went from order to SLSI-compliant shipment in 15 days.
