SYS Electromac supplies table, pedestal, wall and ventilation fans to importers and brands in Africa, built under your brand at our plant in Hyderabad, India. 150,000 fans a month across three conveyorized lines, minimum order 500 pieces per model. Our export markets include Sudan and West Africa.
Built for Africa’s 230 V / 50 Hz markets
Most of Africa — East, West, North and Southern — is rated at 220–240 V and 50 Hz, the same supply as India. The fans we build for Indian brands run on it without a motor change. Our export range is built for these 50 Hz markets.
Nominal voltage is not the voltage your customers get
The practical difference from India is what happens below nominal: supply that sags in the evening peak, and fans running off generators and inverters. The right question for an African RFQ is not “230 V?” but “what voltage band do your customers actually see?” Tell us, and we will recommend the motor and winding option that holds speed at the low end of it.
Built to survive the route and the market
- Metal-body fans — CRCA bodies and stands, powder coated after a seven-tank pre-treatment, for commercial use and rough handling.
- Plastic TPW range — 400 mm table, pedestal and wall fans for the volume market.
- Copper or aluminium winding to your price point and specification.
- Packing for long sea routes — export cartons, palletised and container-ready; SKD or CKD for importers who assemble locally.
Plugs by region
Plug standards vary across the continent. Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda mostly use the British three-pin (BS 1363); North and francophone West Africa mostly use two-pin European sockets; South Africa uses its own. Tell us the destination and the socket your customers have, and we fit the cord set to it.
Pre-shipment verification
Several African markets require goods to be verified before shipment — Nigeria’s SONCAP and Kenya’s PVoC programme are two examples. Your verification agent needs test reports, production records and a physical inspection. We supply the documents, and our four pre-dispatch inspection cabins give the agent a proper place to inspect at the plant, so verification does not hold up loading.
Why India for African fan markets
The case for India is fitness for climate. Indian fans are designed for a hot, humid home market on the same supply, and India sits closer to East African ports than China does. Orders start at 500 pieces per model, so a distributor can test a model before committing a container to it.
